Department of Physics at the Schaefer School of Engineering and Science, Stevens Institute of Technology (Stevens) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor, starting in August 2018. Appointments at higher ranks will be considered for applicants who have established leadership in their research fields.
Applicants should have earned a Ph.D. in Physics or equivalent and a post-doctoral experience in the fields of theoretical or experimental physics including, but not limited to, quantum optics, condensed matter physics, nanophotonics, quantum information science, and quantum computing. Successful applicants are expected to develop a strong externally funded, globally recognized research program. They should also possess a passion for and be committed to excellence in both graduate and undergraduate education in a highly interdisciplinary, collaborative, diverse, innovative, and entrepreneurial culture at Stevens. He or she is expected to become a part of collaborative research within the Center for Quantum Science and Engineering, the Physics Department and of multidisciplinary projects involving faculties from other departments and schools on campus.
