The Department of Physics at the University of Miami invites applications from highly qualified persons for a faculty position focusing on experimental Energy/Materials research. This appointment will be made at the Associate or Full Professor rank to begin Fall 2018. Targeted research topics include, but are not limited to, energy harvesting, storage, conversion, and optoelectronics, encompassing hard and/or soft matter. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in physics or a related discipline, a demonstrated record of research and funding achievements, and a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring students at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The physics department is located on the University’s attractive Coral Gables campus in the greater Miami area, and has wide-ranging research expertise and an established Ph.D. program.
