The University of Notre Dame is actively seeking candidates for a senior-level faculty position in experimental and/or computational biophysics. With major funding from the William & Linda Stavropoulos Family Foundation, the University of Notre Dame is launching an interdisciplinary Center for Biophysics (biophysics.nd.edu). The Center will complement the university’s recent major strategic research investments to create and promote a highly collaborative environment for interdisciplinary research, including a recently-opened 200,000 square-foot molecular sciences research building.
The successful candidate should have a distinguished record of accomplishments at the interface of physics and biology, commensurate with appointment as an endowed chair. These include a strong, internationally recognized and extramurally funded research program and a commitment to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The position includes salary, start-up funding and laboratory space commensurate with level.
