The Cedarville University School of Science and Mathematics seeks applicants for a tenure track-eligible Assistant/Associate Professor of Physics.
Applicants must have a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and the ability to integrate faith and learning. The School of Science and Mathematics seeks to present the study of physical laws that govern the universe in light of creation and its Creator. Our students benefit from advanced laboratories and equipment in our Engineering and Science Center--one of the best-equipped and largest facilities of its kind among independent colleges.
Responsibilities of the faculty member may include teaching trig- and calculus-based physics courses (as well as their associated laboratories), electives in his/her field of physics, and general education courses in physical science. The individual will also serve as an advisor to Physics majors. The candidate should have laboratory experience and be able to instruct students in laboratory procedure, experimental design, and research methods. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in solid state physics.
