TrinityRail is searching for a Director, Environmental Health and Safety at the Dallas, Texas campus. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Director to lead our environmental and sustainability initiatives across multiple manufacturing sites and multiple business. This critical leadership role will play a key role in providing technical guidance, regulatory interpretations and support environmental compliance throughout the organization.

- Develop and implement environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Lead the development and execution of sustainability programs and initiatives to reduce the company's environmental footprint.
- Collaborate with site managers to ensure consistent implementation of environmental programs across all locations
- Monitor and report on environmental performance metrics, providing recommendations for continuous improvement
- Design, implement and manage environmental programs for compliance with company policy, government regulations, and Certification with the ISO 14001 Standard
- Investigate incidents and close-calls to identify root-cause(s) and oversee implementation of corrective actions across the organization
- Manage relationships with regulatory agencies, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of environmental data.
Qualifications
What you will need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field required/Masters degree can be advantageous
- 7-10 years prior experience in EHS Management
- 5+ years in leadership roles and experience overseeing teams and projects
- In depth understanding of environmental regulations and standards
- Experience leading Sustainability and ESG initiatives
- Ability to foster strong working relationships with all employees across the organization
- Ability to train others effectively
- Executive level presentation skills
- Experience in project management, planning and organizing, and creating summary reports
- Advanced degrees or professional certifications such as CHMM, CEP, PE, REM are beneficial
