Quality Control, Environmental Monitoring Specialist

Piper Companies is seeking a Quality Control, Environmental Monitoring Specialist in Durham, North Carolina (NC) , to join a rapidly growing biopharmaceutical organization. The Quality Control, Environmental Monitoring Specialist will contribute to ongoing projects in release testing in support of GMP manufacturing and participate in the execution of environmental monitoring activities and samplings throughout the facility.

Responsibilities of the Quality Control, Environmental Monitoring Specialist :

Perform microbiological in-process and release testing in support of GMP manufacturing, including bioburden, microbial purity, and endotoxin tests.

Complete environmental monitoring within classified manufacturing areas according to approved SOPs and cGMPs, including data review and support through dynamic conditions.

Perform water, steam, and gas testing throughout designated areas.

Conduct clerical duties, such as data entry and report preparation.

Qualifications of the Quality Control, Environmental Monitoring Specialist :

BS in a scientific discipline with 2-3+ years of experience working with microbiological, biochemical, and/or analytical methods.

Experience with Bioburden/Endotoxin testing.

Previous experience in a GMP facility, preferred.

Compensation of the Quality Control, Environmental Monitoring Specialist :

Salary Range: $30-$40/hr, based on experience.
