Regulation - ability to read and interpret environmental laws and guidance for implementation
- Remediation (soil vapor extraction, air sparge, chemical injection) - create and submit plans, oversee initial installation, conduct going inspection/sampling, create and submit reports
- Spill and stormwater event response - conduct on site evaluations, provide initial response support, conduct sampling, analyze lab results, create and submit reports including maps
- Stormwater and erosion control - conduct on site evaluations, create and submit plans including maps/drawings
- Waste - conduct sampling, evaluate disposal options, set up processes, coordinate and complete paperwork
- Agency inspections - respond and support resolution of findings
- Wildlife - conduct on site evaluations, create and implement mitigation plans, provide guidance
- Effectively communicate and negotiate with local, state, federal, and tribal agencies
- Effectively communicate with internal stakeholders, from field level to senior management
- Additional work related to Army Corps, saltwater disposal well/underground injection control well sampling, and NORM surveys and analysis
- Provide backup support for air quality as well as health and safety
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 5 years' experience and environmental with strong project management skills
- Oil and gas industry experience preferred
- Practices and encourages open, honest, and timely communication
- Lead and foster a culture of ethical behavior that supports compliance programs with federal, state, local, and tribal environmental regulations
- 60% field work in New Mexico and Colorado
- 40% office work
- Ability to work outside of normal working hours
- Self-starter with sound judgment and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Practice safe work habits at all times
- Must maintain a clean driving record and adhere to Company policies
- Must be available to work in increment weather
