Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement health and safety programs tailored to construction activities.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on construction sites.
- Identify potential hazards and recommend preventive measures to mitigate risks.
- Manage safety documentation and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Provide training to employees on safety protocols and procedures.
- Coordinate the safety committee and facilitate safety meetings.
- Assist in incident investigations and report findings accordingly.
- Oversee SWPPP (Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan) reporting and compliance.
- Conduct machinery inspections to ensure safe operating conditions.
- Maintain proper records of safety training, inspections, and incidents.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
- Proven experience in health and safety within the construction industry, preferably with a GC.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED is preferred.
- Fluency in Spanish is preferred, but not required.
