Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator
Location: North Charleston.
Salary: $90k - 120k.
Requirements: 3+ years of experience in a safety-related role in construction. Bachelor's degree is safety-related field preferred, similar experience considered. Fluency in Spanish is preferred, but not required. Experience working for a GC preferred.

Position Overview
The Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring that all construction activities are conducted in compliance with health and safety regulations. This position is responsible for implementing safety programs, conducting inspections, and promoting a culture of safety within the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement health and safety programs tailored to construction activities.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on construction sites.
  • Identify potential hazards and recommend preventive measures to mitigate risks.
  • Manage safety documentation and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Provide training to employees on safety protocols and procedures.
  • Coordinate the safety committee and facilitate safety meetings.
  • Assist in incident investigations and report findings accordingly.
  • Oversee SWPPP (Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan) reporting and compliance.
  • Conduct machinery inspections to ensure safe operating conditions.
  • Maintain proper records of safety training, inspections, and incidents.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in health and safety within the construction industry, preferably with a GC.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED is preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish is preferred, but not required.
