Primary Functions: The primary role of the Supervisor - Waste & Water is to provide exceptional client service, provide leadership to the department, and develop environmental specialists regarding the day-to-day services, operations, and systems offered by U.S. Compliance. The Supervisor has responsibility for ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to clients while fostering the growth and development of team members.

Leadership
• Weekly Development & Support with Direct Reports
• Quarterly Performance Reviews - Focusing on achievements, goals, and areas for improvement
• Annual Performance & Compensation Review
• Direct Leader of Specialists
• Manage Specialist Load Capacity - Ensure direct reports are working within their capacity
• Participate in Leadership Meetings
• Participate in Divisional Leadership Meetings
• Participate in Personnel Interviews - Comply with the process and begin to develop a relationship with the candidate

Operations
• Communicate Assignments to Staff - Ensure alignment and accountability
• Review Deliverables & Advise Staff - Evaluate against standards and provide guidance to enhance quality and effectiveness
• Manage Staff and Departmental Dashboards
• Approve Expense Reports
• Approve PTO Requests - Ensure communicated coverage while out of office

Client Excellence
• Develop & Manage Proposals/Opportunities
• Lead Regulatory Support to Clients
• Complete Client Transition Calls
• Conduct onsite client visits
• Research and assess facility operations for regulatory applicability
• Provide high-quality support primarily within waste and water regulations
• Prepare and review permit applications, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP), regulatory reports, and additional compliance reports as required by permits and applicable regulations
• Communicate complex regulatory issues and concepts to technical and non-technical clients
• Build and maintain client relationships focusing on U.S. Compliance's Core Values
• Provide general consulting solutions related to all environmental areas including hazardous waste, stormwater, wastewater, SPCC, and Community-Right-to-Know

Preferred Requirements:
• Minimum of a bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, or related science discipline
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in NPDES and/or RCRA permitting and compliance programs
• 5 years of relevant experience with manufacturing, consulting, or a regulatory agency
• Experience with local, state, and federal regulatory authorities and other environmental regulatory programs including air quality, SPCC, EPCRA and environmental due diligence
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, project team members, and regulators
• Excellent time management skills to support multiple tasks on an on-going basis with firm deadlines
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and in a team environment with a diverse workload.
• Strong attention to detail and completeness
• Flexible and willing to support diverse projects as needed
• Ability to travel to client sites for routine visits (approximately 20% of the time)
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead a team of Waste & Water professionals
• Advanced working knowledge of Excel and an understanding of Microsoft Office 365: Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Dynamics.
