As a Senior Environmental Planner supporting our Nevada office's, you will work with a team to prepare National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and other environmental documentation and related pre-NEPA and corridor planning studies for transportation and other infrastructure projects.

What are the core responsibilities for the role?
  • Prepare and review NEPA and other environmental documents, pre-NEPA, and corridor planning studies
  • Assist and manage staff field studies, collecting and organizing data
  • Prepare technical reports and environmental analyses
  • Coordinate with state and federal government agencies
  • Participate in public and stakeholder outreach
  • Work closely with clients in a Project Manager or Senior Planner/Lead role
  • Assist in project management tasks, including developing and managing scope, budgets, schedules, and quality of service
  • Participate in business development and client management activities

Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:

A prospective candidate should be highly motivated, productive, detail- and results-oriented, and can produce accurate information under tight deadlines and budgets. Other requirements include:
  • Bachelor's degree or master's degree in environmental science, planning, or a related field
  • 5-10 years of experience working with NEPA policy and procedures
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills
  • Knowledge of federal/state environmental regulations
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in geospatial analysis and mapping (ArcGIS) (preferred)
  • Ability to read and understand engineering plans and technical reports
  • Ability to work both individually and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Ability to prioritize and track tasks across multiple projects
  • Experience managing small and large projects, including maintaining budgets, schedules, and quality of service (preferred)
  • Ability and willingness to perform field tasks in varying weather and terrain conditions
  • Ability to travel, as needed, and be flexible with changes in work schedule
  • Desire and ability to learn new skills
