AFTER SCHOOL ENERGY SITE SUPERVISORS

Hours: 9-10 hours per week

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday

3:30 pm-until 5:00 pm

Wednesday - 12:45 pm-3:15 pm, 1 pm-3:30 pm, 1:35-3:55 pm, depending on school

Program runs September 16, 2024 - May 23, 2025

Hourly rate: $19.75 per hour

Open: July 26, 2024

These positions are open until filled.

Duties: Under the direction of the Youth and Teen Manager and Program Coordinator, After School Energy Site Supervisors organize and lead daily activities for children in grades K-5th. After School Energy consists of approximately 20-30 participants and 2 youth leaders. Duties include, but are not limited to, assisting in the development and implementation of the weekly activity schedule; leading daily activities; developing positive supportive relationships with participants, parents and other department staff; preparing reports in support of assigned programs and assisting in the preparation of information/ promotional materials. Activities include homework assistance, arts and crafts, group games/ competitions, sports, and songs.

Minimum Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age; Applicants are subject to a position-relevant background check.

Preferred Qualifications: One (1) year or more of experience working with children in recreation, teaching or day camp environment; knowledge of age appropriate athletic and social activities, crafts and other large group activities for children between 6-12 years old; experience in supervising staff, ability to live by Kent Parks mission of "Dedicated to Enriching Lives" and demonstrate the following characteristics: responsible, respectful, honest, energetic, passionate, flexible, original, creative, dependable, thoughtful.
