An Energy Analyst Job Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Qualifications:
Working Conditions:
The work is primarily conducted indoors in a climate-controlled environment. Customer sitework that will occur regularly includes (but is not limited to) construction zones, hospitals, schools, commercial spaces, and industrial process sites. This position also requires travel (primarily by car or occasionally by airplane) approximately 25% of the time.

- Conduct outreach via phone and in person activities bringing in program participants into our programs
- Perform energy savings calculations for upgrading equipment, adding efficient controls, etc. to various end use equipment (i.e., lighting, HVAC, motors) using spreadsheets and other tools
- Conduct or coordinate facility site visits, ASHRAE audits (Level I & II)
- Work directly with end use customers to identify, calculate, and communicate energy conservation opportunities
- Provide consistent customer contact and communication to ensure excellent ongoing customer service and satisfaction
- Pre- and post-verification site visits for end-use customers to validate energy savings calculations
- Provide periodic reports to leads on project status and/or performance
- Travel by car to customer sites, generally within 150 miles of the Chanhassen office (occasionally farther)
- Other activities as requested related to energy conservation, analysis, reporting, and customer service
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED (General Educational Development) Equivalent AND Must be able to complete Proficiency test for discipline with a score of 70% or better AND 16 Units or More of Relevant Course-Work Preferred - example(s): Environmental Studies, Business, Mechanical Engineering
- If not specific educational, must demonstrate 2 years of other work experience in Any Capacity
