Faculty Clinical Physicist
Job Description
It is expected that this position will provide support at our main campus although some support at a regional practice is also desired.
Our team consists of 12 physicists, 2 physics residents and 18 graduate/certificate students. There is also dedicated IT and in-house engineering support. The Physics section is responsible for 8 linear accelerators across the main campus and 3 regional practices, a busy Gamma Knife center, a dedicated brachytherapy suite, wide-bore CT, PET/CT and 3T MRI scanners all located and staffed within the department. Additional tools include MOSAIQ, MIM, AW workstations, DoseLab, Identify and treatment planning systems (RayStation, Monaco).
Duties will include general clinical coverage and QA as well as support for special procedures; VMAT/IMRT, IGRT, SBRT/SRS, HDR/LDR, TBI and SGRT. This position requires a well-trained individual who has excellent people skills, strong motivation in clinical medical physics and a desire to work in a dynamic environment. Although most of the effort will be to provide clinical service, various research and teaching opportunities also exist.
The position requires a PHD and either ABR certification or board eligibility. Applications from all qualified candidates for this position are encouraged.
