The role of the Subject Matter Expert I is to provide specific Navy Information Warfare Center (NIWC) technical support for various projects within the Chesapeake Ops environment. Includes: communication systems (radios), networking systems (routers/switches), cyber operations (red team/forensics/network defense), intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (sensors/decision support applications), business systems (benefits/personnel) and information security. Work Model: Onsite/Office-Based Responsibilities Essential Duties & Job Functions:
Provides support for communication systems (radios), networking systems (routers/switches), cyber operations (red team/forensics/network defense), intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (sensors/decision support applications), business systems (benefits/personnel) and information security. Provides day-to-day In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) support to NIWC and other activities on multiple projects
Provides support to Fleet activities
Works with customer in primarily a solitary environment
Performs related work as assigned in an unsupervised, reactive/mission critical environment.
Perform other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Mandatory:
U.S. Citizen.
Must be able to obtain a SECRET clearance within 12 months of hire date.
Eight (8) years' technical experience in military, contracting, or commercial areas.
Must have electronic systems troubleshooting and repair experience.
Must have a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
Must be able to provide driving record upon request.
