LinQuest Corporation is seeking a Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team in supporting the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) on location in Reston, Virginia. An active Top Secret clearance with Sensitive Comparted Information (SCI) eligibility is required. The applicant will contribute to an exciting project to advance Department of Defense (DoD) capability to conduct mission-level modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) of complex, adaptive kill webs. The selected individual will serve on a broader multi-disciplinary team of operational military and intelligence community subject matter experts, operations research analysts, and modelers conducting sponsor-directed studies and analyses using an environment and MS&A tool being developed by DARPA. Applicant must have strong knowledge of current and emerging battle management command and control (BMC2) concepts and operational experience with authorities, control zones, control measures, and Air or Integrated Tasking Orders (ATO or ITO), as well as with military planning of the same. Applicant will develop BMC2 structures and concepts of operations (CONOPS) for all-domain operations represented within a modeling & simulation (M&S) tool and will work with modelers and data analysts to interpret simulation output. Applicant will assist with the development of behaviors and decision structures for simulation execution. Applicant may also lead small teams or tasks in support of the broader overall effort. The ideal candidate will have practical experience using AFSIM or similar mission-level M&S software. Required Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, plus 12 years of experience, OR a Master's degree in a relevant discipline, plus 10 years of experience
Military Joint Qualified Officer (JQO) designation
Direct experience developing concepts of operation and/or courses of action in support of Joint Operational Planning efforts
Strong technical background
Expert knowledge/experience in Joint warfighting capabilities, advanced weapons, current and future operational concepts
Ability to adjust quickly to new organizational, technological, and employment constructs for planning and CONOPs development
Excellent project management and/or Joint Operational Planning Process (JOPP) skills
Ability to think creatively and function as part of a high-performing team
Ability to coordinate with government and external contractor stakeholders to identify and solve a variety of problems and to clarify objectives
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Active DoD Top Secret clearance with current SCI eligibility
Eligible for Special Access Program (SAP) access
Preferred Skills and Experience: Experience supporting analytical studies of military operations
Practical experience using AFSIM, NGTS, and/or ITASE
Strong background in Joint all-domain operations including air, maritime, land, space, and cyber
Working level knowledge of AFSIM; familiarity with NGTS, ITASE, or other mission-level M&S environment
