Job Summary
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a full-time, tenure track faculty position as Assistant Professor of Physics in the Department of Physics in the College of Science and Mathematics with a preferred start date of August 2025. This is a nine-month contracted position. This position is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities
Establish a productive, sustainable, externally funded research program in theoretical/computational optical physics, optical properties of materials, or closely related field which compliments existing research at KSU. Mentor undergraduate students. Teach both lower level and upper level physics courses, recitations, and laboratories. Demonstrate a commitment to teaching that promotes student success among the College of Science and Mathematics (CSM) disciplines and invest deeply in KSU students. Participate in professional service within the Department, the College of Science and Mathematics, the University and beyond.
Required Qualifications
A PhD degree, or the foreign equivalent, in physics, optics, or a related discipline, is required. How to Apply
