Assistant Professor

The Department of Physics and Astronomy at UNC-Chapel Hill invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The search is centered around theoretical and computational condensed matter and materials physics broadly defined, the areas of interest ranging from ‘ab initio’ calculations and quantum transport to using machine learning and AI to predict emerging materials and functionalities, and to connect those with novel device concepts and applications.
