: We are seeking a Postdoctoral Appointee with a focus in Nanostructure Physics to join the Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies\. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: + Perform molecular simulations of soft materials+ Research polymer, nanoparticle and biomolecular systems, along with other topics+ Perform molecular dynamics simulations and analyze the output in order to understand structure and dynamics of soft materials Required: + PhD degree in physics, chemistry, material science, or a related discipline+ Strong record of scientific achievement in graduate studies as evidenced by a history of publication of results in peer\-reviewed journals and external presentations at appropriate scientific conferences+ Background in atomistic simulation methods, including molecular dynamics or Monte Carlo methods+ Experience in parallel programming Desired: + Self\-motivated+ Experience with large\-scale atomistic simulations of polymer and nanostructured systems using LAMMPS+ Ability to obtain and maintain a DoE clearance Department Description: The Nanostructure Physics Department \(1131\) conducts original research to establish the scientific principles that govern the design, performance, and integration of nanoscale materials into microscale and macroscale systems and devices\. It is one of eight Departments within the Physical, Chemical, & Nanosciences Center \(01100\) at Sandia National Laboratories\.
