Morehead State University, recognized as one of the top public universities in the South by U.S. News & World Report, is accepting applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Astrophysics/Space Science with expertise in radio astronomy and/or high-energy astrophysics within the Department of Earth and Space Sciences beginning August 2014. Responsibilities: Teach courses in astronomy and astrophysics, develop an externally funded research program that engages undergraduates and utilizes both the 21-Meter radio telescope and existing research laboratories. Assist with some educational outreach programs utilizing our Star Theater and serve on committees at the department, college and university level. Qualifications: Ph. D. in astronomy or astrophysics. History of publication in academic journals. Desired Qualifications: Postdoctoral research experience preferred.
