Columbia University Astrophysics Laboratory is currently seeking an Associate Research Scientist who will help manage all aspects of the day-to-day functions of the Experimental Cosmology Group. Candidates with experience in all aspects of experimental cosmology will be considered, including experiment design, optics, detector characterization, readout instrumentation, and data analysis. Experience leading instrument development projects through deployment and data analysis is desirable, as is experience mentoring students. A PhD in physics, astronomy, or a related field is required. Preference will be given to candidates who have broad experience with radio astronomy instrumentation, observations, and analysis. This position will require occasional travel to remote field sites for experiment deployment.
