Tenure-Track Faculty Position, Hunter College, The City University of New York The Department of Physics and Astronomy invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position with an academic year salary range of $42,873 - $74,133. The expected starting date is August 27, 2014. Applications are invited primarily from experimentalists with emphasis on condensed matter physics, nanotechnology, photonics, and biophysics but outstanding applicants from other areas will also be considered. The successful candidate should have a Ph.D. and have shown ability to teach successfully, demonstrated strong scholarship, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution. The candidate will be expected to initiate an externally funded vigorous research program and involve graduate and undergraduate students in their research.
