The Department of Mathematics, Statistics, and Physics at Wichita State University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in physics. The position will be at the Assistant Professor level and start in the Fall 2014 semester. A Ph.D. or equivalent in physics and postdoctoral experience are required. Candidates are expected to pursue a vigorous externally-funded research program and to teach undergraduate and graduate physics courses, and be willing to accommodate a variety of learning styles and strategies in instructional delivery and learning activities, including online and blended learning, flexible teaching methods, and applied learning approaches. The area of physics is open. However, preference will be given to a candidate in astroparticle or particle physics who can do both experimental and/or theoretical work and teach advanced and graduate classes in Physics in support of our Physics Group program. Current Physics Group research pertaining to this search is in experimental efforts in cosmic ray physics and on the NOvA and the MIPP experiments.
