West Chester University of Pennsylvania is seeking applicants for a temporary (until June 30, 2015) Laboratory Coordinator position in the Department of Physics. The role of the Laboratory Coordinator is to support course instructors in the delivery of the laboratory curriculum and lecture demonstrations. Applicants must possess at least a Master's degree in Physics at the time of appointment or a Bachelor's degree in Physics with a minimum of three years' experience in a similar position. The successful candidate must have (1) strong communication and organizational skills, (2) familiarity with instructional, scientific, and industrial laboratory equipment markets, and (3) experience troubleshooting electrical, optical, and mechanical hardware. Preference will be given to applicants having (1) experience writing and editing laboratory manuals, operating manuals, or similar documents, (2) machine shop experience, and (3) familiarity with PASCO Scientific hardware and software. To be considered a finalist, applicants must successfully complete an interview process. The starting salary is $38,259 annually.
